This Jaguar MK2 3.8 was the subject of a ground up restoration over many years which has involved a total mechanical and body restoration which was completed in 2007. The body shell was sand blasted and repainted in Indigo Blue. Mechanically the car has been completely rebuilt and and up-rated where necessary. The engine was balanced by Roe Engineering of Fleet in Hampshire and joined to a Getrag five speed, fully synchromesh gearbox with a diaphragm clutch. The suspension has been uprated with a Vicarage rear coil spring conversion with Koni shock absorbers and an uprated anti roll has been fitted. Vicarage hydraulic power assisted steering has also been fitted and the brakes have been uprated with Coopercraft vented disc brakes and four pot brake callipers. Other upgrades include a stainless steel exhaust system, aluminium radiator with an electronic Kenlow fan, alternator and a new heater matrix. The interior has been re-trimmed in biscuit leather and the woodwork has been re-polished.

This is a truly superb example of a MK2 and apart from the upgrades what really sets it apart from other cars of a similar value is the bodywork which is very original with no major repairs. The sills are exceptional with no filler that you find with so many cars and even the high priced examples. The paint is still superb as the pictures will show and the interior is still restoration fresh.
