Description
1972 Jensen Interceptor MK3 - 7.2 (440)
We are very pleased to be presenting on behalf of our client his 1972 Jensen Interceptor MK3 which has been in his ownership since 1987. This car has 64,600 miles on the clock and has in fact completed just 7,000 miles in 30 years, that’s a little over 230 miles per year! The car has been owned by someone with a real passion for these cars and he has ensured this car has been well preserved and kept in good order.
The car originally started life in Mustard but is now red which looks good along with the black vinyl roof which is an original option for this car.
The interior is original and the black leather has worn well, which is not that surprising given the limited use the car has had over the last 30 years.
The body presents well with a good overall paint finish and no corrosion. The engine bay is clean and the car starts on the button. The engine sounds very sweet indeed and ticks over nicely. The engine pulls well and cleanly. The gearbox was fully rebuilt in 1990 but this is only 6,000 miles ago. The car moves through the gears without hesitation.
The car comes with its original green logbook and from what we can see it has had a total of two previous owners.
The mileage is warranted by the extensive MOT history which we have listed below:-
