Description
This 1959 Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite was treated to a full restoration between 2007 and 2010. The body was completely refurbished and re-painted in its original colour of Iris Blue. This is an all steel car with its original 948cc engine. The engine was also completely rebuilt during the restoration process with a re-ground Crank, new bearings, pistons, high lift cam and the engine was mated to a lightened flywheel. Twin SU 1 1/2 inch H4 carbs have been fitted.
The chrome work was all re-plated where needed. The interior has also been completely refurbished and remains very fresh today. A rare BMC works hard top also comes with the car along with a soft top and full wet weather gear. The paint is still in excellent condition and the underneath of the car which is painted is also in superb order.
The history file contains invoices relating to works over the years along with a detailed summary of the full restoration undertaken in 2007/2010.
The car still retains lots of original features and is a pleasure to drive. This is a very nice example of a Frogeye that is ready for the summer sunshine.
