1966 Ford Mustang Notchback
This 1966 matching numbers Ford Mustang was first imported into the UK in 2005. The car started life in California where it resided with its first owner for 20 years. After that it moved to a new owner in Kansas until it was imported into the UK. This is an exceptionally nice example which has been subjected to a considerable amount of restoration in recent years. The history file is quite extensive and we have on file recent invoices for the last two years that total nearly £8,000 alone.
The car benefits from a number of desirable upgrades such as an Edelbrock carburetor, front disc brakes, electronic ignition and hardened valves to accept unleaded petrol. This car is also fitted with power steering, all of which makes for a very good driving experience on UK roads. The paint on the car presents very well and the interior is almost spotless apart from minor splitting in the vinyl on the driver’s seat. There is a removable centre console for extra storage. The original radio is still in place.
The car fires up quickly and the engine runs cleanly. On the road the engine pulls well and emits a throaty roar when you ask more of the 4.7L V8, which is really what makes this such a unique and fun driving experience.
The history file is quite extensive with a full breakdown of all work that has been undertaken since the car arrived in the UK in 2005. There is also a 1966 Mustang workshop manual, an owners manual and other assorted Mustang related books. The current MOT lasts until the August 2017 and the last MOT was advisory free.
