This MGB was bought by its last custodian in 1973 and has been owned by her up until now. The car was treated to a total rebuild in 2001 using a new BMH bodyshell which was painted to a very high standard in Snowberry white. The rebuild was focused on keeping the car as authentic as possible such as original spec 1969 leather seats. Everything was rebuilt or reconditioned including the engine, rear axle, suspension, gearbox and overdrive, plus a new wiring loom. The engine was rebuilt to unleaded spec. The car received a new interior and new hood.

Sometime in 2007 the car was taken off the road and put into storage and it wasn't until this year that it has been recommissioned and put back on the road. It has covered a mere 1,295 since the rebuild in 2001 and still looks restoration fresh. With a new heritage shell the gaps are all excellent and most importantly the doors sit flush

The car runs exceptionally well with a working overdrive and as part of the recommissioning work it has recently been fitted with a brand new set of chrome wire wheels. The photographs say it all, it looks great and with so few miles on the clock since a total rebuild which 22 years ago cost £16,450, the car is ready for many years of motoring. With a heritage shell, it looks super straight and is ready for its next custodian.

The history file contains full details of the rebuild along with invoices and even the purchase invoice for the car in 1973.

A fresh and clean MOT will be put on the car once a sale is agreed.

The asking price is £14,950 which is less than the cost of the rebuild 20 years ago and most likely half what it would cost you now to achieve the same result making this something of a bargain!
