A casual glance at the current adverts for Volvo 240 cars and you will undoubtedly find some true workhorses for sale that have covered the best part of 150,000 miles and are still going strong. This particular example is the most cosseted and cared for 240 you are going to find. It has had one lady owner from new and has covered a mere 36,600 miles only. What's more, every single year of its life it has had a documented service. The interior is mint and apart from one minor scuff the bodywork is also near immaculate. You won't find a better example of a classic which is still appreciating in value but could so easily be used as an everyday car if you wanted. The service book has stamps everywhere and the car has even had more than one service in a year despite its ridiculously low mileage. Timing belt changes have also been done, the last of which was in November 2020 at a mileage of 36,503 miles which is around 100 miles ago! The car has been religiously serviced every year even when it has only done 50 miles. A new fuel pump was fitted this year, but the car needs for nothing. The only missing thing is one Volvo emblem from one wheel trim. You can readily find them on Ebay.

You could not ask for a better history confirming the car has been maintained to the utmost degree. With just one owner from new you are not in our opinion going to find a better example of a Volvo 240GL.

Everything works and the car glides through the gears on the autobox without issue.

The car comes with its very full service book along with service invoices and MOTs. The original purchase invoice is also present along with the instruction book and other documents the car was issued with when new.

Given the quality of this car we do not expect it to hang around!
